It wouldn't be Christmas without an ugly light up Christmas jumper sweater DIY!! Perfect for Christmas jumper day, which is a charity event on the 15th December! See more about the charity below.

♡ What you need:
Jumper - Boohoo
Green Elf Hats (for the felt fabric) - Poundland X2
Glue Gun
Fairy lights - Poundland
Batteries
Needle & Thread
Pompoms - Poundland
Sharpie
Tape Measure
Star Patch - Ebay
Tinsel Ribbon - Paperchase
Selection of gems - Ebay

STEPS:
1. Cut the elf hat so you have a flat piece of fabric to work on.
2. Measure your jumper width and height and take a note of the measurements, use them when cutting out the tree.
3. Cut the tree out in three sections as seen in the video, you can make it as small or as big as you want as long as it fits on the jumper.
4. Set up lights and then cut a square to make a pocket for the battery pack.
5. Sew the sides of the pocket and then sew the pocket on the inside of the jumper to conceal it.
6. Glue the edges if needed to make it tighter for the battery pack, so it sits in tightly.
7. Measure the tree and glue it central on the jumper.
8. Carefully cut a small hole on the inside of the jumper behind the tree and feed through the lights. This bit is fiddly to do but just be patient with it.
9. Once all the lights are in place add some glue on the back to hold in place.
10. Decorate your tree! Use pompoms, gems and a star for the top.
